Now Hiring Placement Students! Fall 2021

For the past 4 years, we have always been thrilled to support students with their post-secondary education by offering hands-on work experience supporting a variety of small businesses across varying industries (No Templated “Pretend Work” Here!)

This year is no different!

As college and university students are thinking about going back to school this fall (and graduating this spring!) we are on the hunt for (2) amazing placement students for the fall 2021 placement term.

Typically, our students come from Sheridan’s Visual Merchandising Arts program, where we can help them explore a wide variety of skills and support them in areas of the workforce that best suit their goals. This year, we’re opening it up to a wider variety of students (regardless of the program).

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Final year college students looking for experience in graphic design, product styling, tradeshow design, web design, digital marketing, social media community building, and general creative endeavors!

  • Someone who is passionate about creating great visuals while staying true to a brands identity and values.

  • An eye for detail, with strong editing skills and a very strong grasp on written English and basic copywriting.

  • Someone who has a great start to a portfolio but has targeted goals on how they plan to improve it.

  • Flexibility is key! We will work around your schedule, work from studios, work from home, coffee shops, and meet with clients etc.

  • Reliable transportation to Oakville and Burlington is ideal but not required,

The best part of this placement? Not only will you get a flexible and hands-on way to build your portfolio, work with real businesses, and develop your skills, we are also hiring as of January 2022! This placement opportunity will hopefully let us get to know each other (while helping you fulfill your 80 hour requirement).

Our end goal is to find great people we can add to our team, starting with optional part-time while you finish your studies, and working up to a great position to start your career when you graduate. We are a full equal opportunity employer, and as a business owned by a working mama, we allow a ton of flexibility in scheduling your workload based on deadlines (No one needs a 9-5)
